Summer clean

What a great feeling! I brought the outside in today and those roses smell divine. Yesterday I put up a new shelf and I'm so pleased with it... Cleaning always clears my mind and makes me begin new projects...

Everything in its place

Caroline and Sam looking beautiful and happy cutting their Paper Florist decorated cake...

Beautiful, edible flowers. I was showing my paper flowers at a wedding fair this weekend at the Fox and Hounds and came across Meadow Sweet Flowers a wonderful little company that organically grows flowers to sprinkle with sugar as favours or gifts. I really found them breathtakingly beautiful x
Ice mobiles and snowy roses...

Well, the festive season is up and running and I've been out and about with stars, poinsettias, pine cones and flowers to try to spread the origami joy around.

I've met so many wonderful people and have been so inspired by the talent and innovation of the crafts people in Devon. Spending so much time a craft fairs in the community really does make it feel like Christmas is coming.

It's also been wonderful over the past month to head out in to nature, spend time kicking around in the snow and snuggle up with some homemade soup. I've somehow also found time to make a lot of my Christmas presents this year (it's tempting to give everyone flowers) but no - I've done some knitting, pottery and sculpture as well, yay me!

Note to self, the only thing I regret is that I think I should have started photographing my paper florist packages as I sometimes felt that they were little works of art in their own right - but then there always seemed to be so, so much to do whilst chasing my tail!

Thank you to everyone for supporting my origami flowers, I absolutely love making them.

xx

And then, I found my shop nestled nicely amongst some lovely green hues in a treasury someone created the other day. Take a look at my Etsy to see some of the favourite pages I've added for inspiration.

Phew, it's been so long since I made a post on my blog! Since the last time I've been dancing and prancing around at colourful festivals, making artwork with children, helping Rich to move house and painting my pots.

I'm folding like crazy and working so hard on my website, I just don't know where the time has gone!
